Lots of White

I forget sometimes how beautiful white can be.  I LOVE colors.  I am a sucker for markers because of all the amazingly beautiful colors they come in.  However, simple white can be gorgeous when you add a little dimension to it.  I cut the center out of a plain white card, using a Spellbinders die.  Then I ran the card through my Cuttlebug in an embossing folder to get all the little dots on it.  I added a border of white cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  I made little white "pearls" with a Pearl Pen.  Then I added a bow.  I put this sweet angelic image (complete with glittered wings) in  the window. Voila!
There are lots of Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N images that are perfect for "window cards."  Run over to the online store and check them out!  Let me know what you try!

Go Team!

Doing an extra post for you.  Was coloring some of these Stampin' Plus Scrap'N Robar images and made this into a colorful card.  I love to use the Kraft paper when I make a card. This card reminds me that baseball season is right around the corner.  I hope our Houston team has improved since last season!  This was a quick and easy card to make.  These little people are lots of fun to color and use on a card.  The smaller size will fit well onto tags, Spellbinders cuts, etc.

Way Out West

I like this little gal.  She fits in well with where I currently live--Texas.  I don't own a pair of boots.  The only boots I have ever had were snow boots (I grew up in Michigan).   Now I only have one pair of shoes with toes in them, let alone snow boots!  I'm thinking this little gal is ready to go to the rodeo.  The first year we lived here we took our girls to the rodeo.  I think we saw Crystal Gale.  It was about 30 years ago so I don't really remember.  We got the kids boots and hats to wear and they thought it was really cool.  We went to the rodeo one other time, when my parents came to visit.  We saw the Oak Ridge Boys that time.  I remember, because my mom still mentions it from time to time.  She  loved it.  The rodeo is not really my cup of tea, although I think it would be fun to ride in a wagon with the trail riders for a few days.  Anyway, this Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N image is from the Patti's Kids line--one I am partial too as you can tell from my cards.  They are just fun for me to color, and "people" images have always been my favorites.
Hope you are having a crafty day!

Easter Basket!

Hello again from Kathy Hering! I have not posted in along time! Sorry to have been gone for so long. I've been away for so long that my dinosaur computer, that I use to upload all my blogging stuff, had to be updated and it took around two hours. I'll try to post more often. Why haven't I posted much lately? Well I kinda took a little break from creating but I was still out there in the bloggy world. So many wonderful blogs out there and so little time! For today's creation, I stamped with the Iris Folding Easter stamp W-IR177.

Supplies:

Stamp: Stamp N Plus Scrap N Iris Fold W-IR177

Paper: white, brown, DCWV The Sweet Stack with glitter, DCWV The Spring Fling Cardstock Matstack

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: Craft knife, Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper, Scalloped Scallop Edge Punch, American Craft Markers

Have a wonderful weekend!

Nature Boy

I don't like things that crawl, hop, or slither.  Especially slither.  My girls have had pets that included iguanas, snakes, rats, a tarantula (for one night), hamsters, birds, and a turtle as well as cats and dogs.  My favorite was fish--they were non-threatening and stayed put.  Now that my girls are grown up with their own homes and kids, their pets are limited to dogs and cats.  So much for nature.
This image reminded me of all those "fun" animals and reptiles that graced my home over the years.  Now we only have a dog.  It is my daughter's; we have been "babysitting it since she went off to college.  She is now in her third year of teaching.  I guess Roxy is our dog now.
Have a great week!

Happy March

Wow!  It's already March.  Where does the time go?  Spring is fast approaching and flowers and trees are signaling the change of seasons.  I used this cute Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N image to get us into a "springy" mood today.  Her big smile brightens the day.  This card would be great for a birthday, get well, thanks, or just to say hello.  Enjoy your day!
