A Victorian Theme

Here's my card for this week.  I went with a victorian theme and used a beautiful image from Stamp 'N Plus Scrap'N.  She can be used for a variety of events--birthday, hello, friendship, thank you, or get well.  The sentiment is also Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N.
I used some beautiful papers from the Mirabelle collection of The Paper Studio.  I added some sparkle to the image by highlighting her jewelry with Stickles.  I used a die from Papertrey for the sentiment label and a Martha Stewart Punch for the decorative border.

Enjoy your day!

Key to My Heart

Who holds the key to your heart?  If you are like me, once you started having children, they became the number one key holders.  Then the grandkids started arriving and they bumped their parents out of that number one position.  Well, this week my oldest daughter turns the big 40.  Hard to believe.  I don't know where those years went so quickly.  Anyway, for  this week I will give her top spot again.  I will be remembering all the fun times we  shared when she was the "only one" in our lives.  She was a beautiful baby and grew up to be a beautiful woman, inside and out.  Now she has three kids of her own who hold that key to her heart and she is doing an amazing job  raising them (although she is a little overboard on the "watch the sweets" thing and I am always getting in trouble).  There is a big party for her next Saturday.  She told us it's too bad we won't be able to attend.  We have to babysit!

Deere Grandpa...

Hello! Kathy here today. I have a man card to show today. Man cards always seem so hard to make. This one is simple, and I popped the sentiment (X3852 To a Deere Grandpa) up with dimentionals. The image (Tractor 2 F3846) is just stamped and not colored in.Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

Rain

Happy Sunday everyone!  Here is my card for today.  I used a Patti's Kids image of a little girl in her rain gear, hoping against hope that we will soon get some rain in Texas.  As you may know, we are loosing acres and acres to wildfires.  Hundreds of homes have been lost, along with unknown numbers of wildlife and livestock.  It's bad.  Many people have had literally only minutes to get out of their homes and have lost  everything except the shirt on their back.
Take a minute today and say a prayer that rain will soon come to Texas, and pray for those who have already lost so much. Thanks.

Almost fall...

Hello... Kathy here today. A few days ago it was feeling like fall, so here is fall card. Pretty simple. I colored the image J3854 Scarecrow Stamp and the X3853 Pumpkin Stamp with Copic markers. The pumpkin was cut out and popped with dimentionals. Happy Saturday!

Continuing with my Patti's Kids images, here is another fun one that is perfect for a celebration card.  Whatever you are celebrating, this happy little gal is sure to bring a smile.  I used an embossing folder from Stampin' Up and embossed a very pale gray  card stock to layer on top of my light blue base.  Then I simply added strips of K and Company paper on top, along with a border I punched with an EK Success border punch.  I cut the image out with a Spellbinders die.  A bit of ribbon and some faux pearls and the card was done.
Enjoy the rest of your day and have a pleasant evening!
