Just Because

Happy Sunday!  Hope everybody is keeping cool and dry.  I can't believe all the crazy weather happenings we have been having.  With the 100 plus temps that have been going on here, we are being asked to conserve energy.  On the plus side--I have been drinking more water, as soda just doesn't quench your thirst when it is this hot.

Here's a card I made the other day while hibernating in my craft room with three fans blowing on me.  It is another Patti's Kids image.
Some stampers love to use floral images, some like birds or animals, but me--I love to color "people images."  I must have more of that type image than any other in my collection of thousands of stamps.
I love the huge grins and whimsical look of the Patti's Kids line.  With page after page of the images, Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N has the perfect one for your project.  Check it out!

Life Gives you Lemons...

Hello! It's Lisa again with another project for you.

Life Gives You Lemons...

My mom and dad used to tell me this all the time.  I created a quick card to send to someone to lift their spirits.  Do you like to send out simple cards to say you are thinking of someone?

Thanks for visiting,
lise

Better Late Than Never

I know, it's late--9:00 central time--but it IS still Sunday!  Sooooo here is my card for today.
I got kinda busy this weekend --had to do an "emergency" babysitting job for my kids who tried but couldn't find a babysitter so they could go out and celebrate my son in law's birthday Friday night.  Then we had a birthday party for my granddaughter who turns the big 5 on Tuesday.  Then church this morning.  I didn't get to sit down until this afternoon to do a card.

I picked a Patti's Kids image--you know they are my faves.  Stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with my new Letraset Tria markers, which I love.  Hope you like it, even though it is a bit late!!!

Dance Ballerina Dance

Happy Sunday to you!  I hope wherever you are, you are able to stay reasonable cool during this heatwave that the country is having.  Our lawn is beginning to turn yellow-orange, despite the watering and fertilizer, etc.  It has held out pretty well, but the drought and 100 plus temps are finally getting the better of it.  I have been spending LOTS of time indoors with the air conditioning on and fans blowing.  It is waaaaay too hot to do much of anything, except stamp.

This week's card is a little different, as I decided the other day to print off some digital papers to use on some of my cards.  I have tried it before, and the results weren't bad.  The papers I chose for this card are from NitWit Creations. and are very soft colors.
This sweet little Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N image is from the collection of Mary Helen Gould images.  The collection also includes some cute holiday stamps if you are looking ahead.  They are petite images that fit well with the popular card styles that we are seeing.  I cut this one out to layer on the Spellbinders die cuts that I did.

Keep cool and enjoy your day!

Lemonade

Hello!  It's Lisa again with another project for you.

Lemonade

This project was SUPER fast... super simple... but I just love quick and easy when I'm sending a little note to a friend.  In the inside of this card, I jotted a little note to a friend to "Stay Cool".  With as hot as the summer has been, who wouldn't love a frosty glass of lemonade to keep cool?!

Thanks for visiting,
Lisa

Fairies

I used one of the fairy images this week for my card.  This sweet, whimsical image is only one of several fairy images available available HERE in the Fantasy section at Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N.
I like to use Stickles glitter to highlight the wings (you can't really see it in the picture).  I used papers from Cosmo Cricket and the flower is made from Prima blossoms.  The decorative border was punched with an EK Success punch.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Let's Picnic

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday project to share with you today.  It's hard to believe we're already in August!  With the summer heat in full swing (at least it is in St. Louis), barbeque's, picnics and pool parties are the way to go!

Let's Picnic

This project couldn't be more simple.  I found the perfect patterned paper for my picnic sentiment, watermelon and ant images called Watermelon Gazpacho Soup by Jillibean Soup.  Isn't it wonderful?

I colored the watermelon with copic markers and carefully trimmed out to adhere to the front of my card as an embellishment.  Super fast and a perfect way to invite a friend to enjoy the summer with you!
