Tractor Greetings

If you're like me, making a masculine card is not something easy.  I have very few "manly" images and that is the first problem.  The second is embellishments.  I love to embellish my cards and tend to use a lit of ribbon, die cut borders that add frills, and buttons.  Those aren't usually something you associate with guys.  So I was uber happy when Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N came out with a new line of tractor images.  They are perfectly suited to those guy cards that we all have the pleasure of making from time to time.
I have had this paper for literally years.  I came across it when looking for something else for a card I was doing.  I pulled it out for today's card and it became a great opportunity to use one of the new tractors and sentiments.  This is a pretty simple card.  It's 5 1/2" square. I stamped the image on a coordinating paper that matched the tractor paper and stamped the sentiment on the same paper that I cut with a Spellbinders die.
Hope you like it!

Dinosaur Birthday!

Happy Thursday!

I never seem to have enough birthday cards in my stash, especially enough for small kids.  My kids have had 5 birthday parties in July alone.  YIKES!!!

This dinosaur seemed like the perfect choice for making some cute little boys cards.  I colored the dinosaur with my Copic markers and decided to make his plates a rainbow color.  (he he, I had to look up what those were called and I'm guessing this is a stegosaurus)

I decided that he would look great against some strips of papers matching his plates.  I purposely cute them off kilter a bit as I thought it would add a little character to the card.  I finished it off with a rub-on sentiment.

Hope you enjoy and that this gives you some ideas for kids cards.

Treats

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday post!  We're still all about the sweet treats this month... Yum!

Treats!

I had a blast coloring and embellishing this image!  I stamped and embossed the dish of ice cream - and colored with Copic markers.  Then, I added White enamel accents to the whipped cream, glossy accents to the glass dish and a red rhinestone cherry.  Almost good enough to eat!

Thanks for visiting,
Lisa

If Life Gives You Lemons

Well, the heat wave continues to make us swelter.  Still hot and dry where I am.  The critters are coming out looking for water.  I have been hitting the lemonade big time.  Thought these images would fit the current situation very well.
Now doesn't that make you want to run to the kitchen and mix up a nice cool glass of yummy lemonade?  My grandpa used to make us pitchers of it in the summer when we were at his house.  His was the BEST I have ever had.   Of course in those days, we used real sugar.  He made it in a beautiful frosted glass pitcher that had a "ruffly" edge around the top.  My sister has the pitcher now and it is a sweet reminder of our childhood.

Hope you are keeping reasonably cool during these sultry day.  Good time to stay indoors and start your Christmas cards perhaps?  Check out the ever expanding images at Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N and get busy!

Lately I have been dreaming a lot.  Dreaming about my future, my family, weird dreams, scary dreams and fun dreams.  What little girl doesn't have dreams?  I still have dreams even at my age and I hope that I will always have them.

This cute Dreamer image was so much fun to work with.  I decided to emboss the image with silver embossing powder and color my image with my light purple copics.  I was itching to use some new spellbinders I got a few weeks ago and adorned the crown circle with the sentiment and some metal sticker embellishments.

Sweet Stuff--continued

Here's another card using some of the new sweet candy available at Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N.  I also used
one of the great frame stamps they carry.  I stamped the image twice  on white card stock and colored it in with Tria Markers.    I cut the sticks off one set of suckers. Then I added some dimension by using a stylus and a spongy pad and going over the backs of those to puff them out a bit. I used pop dots to adhere them on top of the other suckers.  Then I used Ranger's Glossy Accents to go over them and make them look like they were wrapped in cellophane.  I set this aside to dry.  I stamped the frame on cherry red paper and cut it out.  I also cut a strip from the same card stock using a decorative wide Martha Stewart Border.  I used a cross stitch border punch and cut a strip from black card stock.  Then I just put it all together on the front of a card as shown.  Super easy!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love You

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday project.

love you

This is actually a project that I would call a "scrap" card.  I pulled this together with the bits and pieces on my stamp desk.  I think in total this card took me about 15 minutes.

I stamped the Chantilly Lace (L1604) image with pink and green ink.  I layered stickers to spell my sentiment on the image and added a few embellishments to finish the card.

Simple and elegant... and fast!

Thanks for visiting,
lise

Sweet Stuff

Stamp the image in black and color.  Cut it out--I used a deckle rectangle from Spellbinders.  Use Glossy Accents or another dimensional embellishment liquid and go over the candy to make it appear more like it is wrapped in clear paper.  Set aside to dry.

Start with a 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" card.  Cover front with bright orange paper.  Cut multicolor stripe paper to
4 1/4" x 6" and adhere to card.  Cut a 4" square from bright yellow paper and run it through you r die cut machine in a dotted embossing folder.  Layer it on top of some bright orange and leave a tiny border around it.  Take a piece of ribbon and wrap it around the bottom of this piece before adhering it to your card as shown.  Add a bow.  Cut an orange strip 4 1/2" x 1 3/4" and add eyelets on the ends.  Add to the card.  Attach the image using dimensional dots.

Adore

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday project to share with you.

Adore

I love to create projects to share with those I love.  This is a little love note is all about that!  I stamped the Heart Frame (J2123) with brown ink and lightly colored with Copic markers - nothing fancy and all about the image.

I added a few sticker letters to spell out my special sentiment... simple and heartfelt.
