Happy Birthday To You!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's Lisa again with a new project to share with you.

Happy Birthday to You!

We recently celebrated one of my colleague's birthday at work.  We all bring in treats and I make the card.  This card was for Terri... and I wanted it to be sweet and girly!

It's really a simple card with pretty patterned paper... with the Musical Happy Birthday (X-786) really shining!  And who doesn't love to get a handmade birthday card?

Thanks for visiting,
lise

Happy Easter and a Mother's Day Card

Happy Easter! Hope you are spending a lovely relaxing day with loved ones. With Easter soon behind us, next up is Mother's Day. I read once that Mother's Day was the highest volume day for phone calls. So, if you still are fortunate enough to have your mom in your life, don't forget to give her a call. A card would be nice too. With that in mind, I found a wonderful image for a Mother's Day card.
This beautiful lady was perfect for the front of this Victorian inspired card. The image is one of many beautiful stamps from STAMP'N PLUS SCRAP'N that are perfect for a card for any special lady.  I used designer papers from K & Company that fit the feminine theme beautifully. I also used a border punch from Martha Stewart and I made the cream colored roses with Sizzix die.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter holiday and don't eat too many chocolate eggs!

Summer On It's Way

Wow!  The weather here in Texas is absolutely beautiful right now (at least in our area).  I love being able have my doors and windows open.  The birds are singing from the break of day and long into the night.  It is a gentle reminder that summer is right around the corner. With that in mind, I have a Fourth of July card for you today.
This is another one of my fave Patti's Kids images.  Looks like they are having a super time celebrating the birth of our country.  This image would also be a great addition to a 4th of July scrapbook page!  Visit the Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N online store for lots of fun holiday stamps.
Hope you are enjoying a fun and relaxed weekend!

Up a Creek

Hi there!  Kim here sharing a card with some of the new stamps I just received.  It had been raining a bit here and the weather was gloomy so this little ducky image seemed the perfect choice when I sat down to create.

I added a little bit of stickles to the water and colored the image with my Copics.  I thought the sentiment was funny with this image.

Card details:
Cardstock: So Saffron, Basic Black, Watercolor paper, Bo Bunny Ad Lib Collection
Inks: Versafine Onyx Black, reinkers
Accessories: Green with Envy ribbon, jewels

Cracked Easter Eggs

Hello and happy Wednesday!  It's Lisa with a Spring project to get you ready for Easter.

Cracked Easter Eggs

OK... so it was a little silly of me to use the cracked glass technique for an Easter egg card, but I hope I've paired the silliness with a little elegance.

I stamped the Lace Egg 2, Primrose Egg, and Orchid Egg on white cardstock with London Fog grey ink and colored with Copic markers.  After die-cutting, I covered with Versamark ink, coated with ultra thick embossing powder, and heat embossed.  I repeated several times, allowed to cool and cracked the embossed image.  It's hard to see in my picture... so you'll have to take my word on this one!  Hah!

Thanks for visiting!

It's Raining It's Pouring

We have had a definate LACK of rain in these parts.  The weatherman suggested that we may need a tropical depression to "fix" things.  Let's hope not.  This little sweetie pie is ready, just in case.
I belong to a Swap of the Month group that has been exchanging cards monthly for probably 12-15 years.
This month, our theme was 'ovals" and this is the card I made.  I ran my white card through the Cuttlebug in an embossing folder after I cut an oval out of the front using a Nestabilities oval die.  I stamped and colored my Patti's Kids image and then cut it out with a smaller oval die.  I covered the inside of my card with the pink paper, and then used pop dots to adhere the image.  I embellished with the bow and the flowers.
Hope my fellow swappers like it!

Spring Bouquet

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday post.

Spring Bouquet

This project was something I haven't done before... and I can't believe I waited so long!  I embossed the Lilies of the Valley (F1593) image with white embossing powder.  I then colored with watercolor pencils to bring out the color.  I think it turned out lovely!

Are there techniques you'd love to try and haven't?  I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks for visiting,
