Puparazzo

Hi, Beverly here.  Here is a rather unconventional Valentine's Day
card. It DOES have red and there IS a bit of glitter, but at first
sight, it doesn't really LOOK like a Valentine.  However, looking
at that lovestruck puppy and reading the sentiment leaves little
doubt that it can be used as a Valentine, or just a card to send to
someone to show they are thought about.  You can find this image
along with several others in the Puparazzo line HERE.
Better hurry, Valentine's Day is just around the corner!

Sweet Boy

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!  It's so hard to believe the month is marching along so fast!  Since things are moving along so quickly, I have a fast card to share with you.  Aren't quick cards wonderful?

Sweet Boy

This card is super simple, but it's just perfect for a quick card to say hello.  I kept the card without a sentiment so I can personalize with anything I need.  I stamped and embossed the How Do You Do? (X1734) image - and then watercolored with my Derwent pencils.  It's been ages since I watercolored!  I had a blast adding color to this little guy.

Thanks for visiting today!

Iris folding

Hi! It's Beverly with another Iris Folding card for you.  I embossed
with gold ink and gold embossing powder on black paper and then
did the iris folding.  The numbered sections make it super easy to do.
Instead of layering the black and red on gold, I used a gold marker
to edge the papers. I ran the red strip through my Cuttlebug with one
of their folders before adding it to the card.

Spring Butterflies

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!  I was in the mood for some Spring pretties, so I thought I'd share this card with you... especially since today it's snowy in St. Louis.  Yuck!

Spring Butterflies

I have to admit... purple or lavendar is not my normal color preference.  But, I found the most lovely scalloped notecards that I thought would make a pretty Spring card.  I stamped the J-838 Med Giant Swallowtail Butterfly Stamp twice and colored with Copic markers.  I covered the colored butterflies with Illuminate Smooch to give a lovely shimmer.  I airbrushed the background with a few blasts of light blue to give my winged friends sky.

Thanks for visiting,

Iris on The Runway Challenge

Our Iris on the Runway Challenge is in full swing.
I chose a simple but elegant design for my card
this week in honor of our challenge.  After finishing up the iris folding, I added a bit of sparkle to  the image with some clear glitter.  I added a little more "bling" with rhinestones in the scallops on the gold paper.  This iris folding can become addictive!  I've got a few more cards  using this technique coming up in the next couple weeks!

Lilies

Hello and Happy New Year!!!  It's Lisa with another post... my first of the new year!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  So, are you refreshed and ready to go?  Ready to create?  Let's go!

Lilies

I thought I'd try my hand at something "spring-like", now that the holidays are over.  Maybe I'm just projecting, since the weather can be so brutal this time of year in St. Louis.  I took a little creative license with these Lilies of the Valley (F1593) and colored with blue-violet and gold tones to match my patterned paper.  I'm silly that way.  Hah!  I colored and carefully trimmed my nosegay of flowers for my card focal point.  To balance the design, I added some lace, some tissue tape and a couple trinket pins.

Thanks for visiting!  Happy 2011!

Potted Plant

Flowers are probaly THE most verstile stamps there are.  They can be used on most any card you make.  I love this gorgeous image and this card is very "generic."  It would work for birthday, get well, saying hi, sympathy, friendship--you name it!
I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with alcohol markers.  Then I cut and layered it using a Spellbinders Nestability.  I used some beautiful K and Company designer paper and punched the corners with a Stampin'Up punch.  Very simple.  You can find the image  HERE along with tons of other floral stamps that are as versatile as they are beautiful!
