Heritage Series

Here is another image from the Heritage Collection.
My brother saw this stamp online and just loves it.  He suggested
I do a card with it, so here it is.  I stamped the image with Memento
Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Tria markers.  I used the
"Cotton Candy"  Buz'N MAGIC  powdered chalk, which comes
in tons of great colors.  Hope Dick likes it!  I want to see what
he can do with this image!

Clean and Simple Roses

Hello!  It's Lisa again with a fun post this Wednesday.

Clean and Simple Roses

This design is a clean and simple project and I really love how this finished.  It's all about the Roses here.  I colored and carefully trimmed from the cardstock.  I added some lovely mini checked fabric tape and some musical tissue tape to add a bit of whimsy.

To get the boxed outline on my card, I created a cardboard template and traced with a black micron pen.  I can reuse it on future projects too!

So, what kind of projects do you prefer to make?  Clean and simple?  Lots of layers?  I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for visiting!

Well, here is the last of the Halloween cards for this year.
I used the pumpkin image and made two different cards
with it.  I added the treat bag to one and the bats to the
other.  The web punch is from Martha Stewart.  The
scalloped oval is a Nestability.
Hope you have a fun-filled Halloween!  Don't be scared!

One Star at Twilight

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday project!  I hope your week is going well.

One Star at Twilight

When I saw the musical paper in the October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper pad, I knew I needed to pair it with the little Cow Over the Moon image.

It's a super simple project, but it will be a perfect little project to give to a new mom or for a baby's first birthday.  I love how the bright colors would be great for a baby girl or baby boy.

Do you find baby cards a challenge to create?  Are they your favorite?

Thanks for visiting,
lise

Sooo Spooky

Another Halloween card for you. These little ghostly characters can be found
HERE along with some other cute designs that are just a little spooky.
I used papers from K and Company.  I didn't have the right size black
buttons so I made my own, using white buttons and my black Staz On pad.
Happy Stamping!

Under Your Spell

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday post!  It's hard to believe we're looking at the end of year holidays.  Where HAS this year gone?

I have a project to share with you, but I thought I'd also outline a few pointers around the fun Puparazzo images that are unmounted with the phrases.  I used Puparazzo "I'm Under Your Spell" (F-PP89).

1. I coat the back of the rubber with Aleene's Tack It Over and Over glue (using an old brush) and allow to dry thoroughly.  Trim carefully around the image in straight cuts.  My favorite scissors for this process is the Tim Holtz non-stick scissors.

I'm not sure you can see this in the picture below, but I use clear card sheets to store my trimmed and glued rubber.  It peels cleanly from the surface in order to place on an acrylic block when you're ready to stamp.

2. Cut the sentiment phrase off the bottom... before you have a stroke, it's OK.  Cut the sentiment off with very precise cuts, not removing any of the excess rubber.  You'll want to make it like a puzzle piece, so you can add it back precisely where it needs to be.  This will give you a very versatile stamp!

3. To get a good impression, I place my cardstock on a piece of foam.  Ink the image and gently press onto the cardstock.

So, after all that chatting, are you ready for my card?

Under Your Spell

I colored this fun little pup with Copic markers.  I added a bit of sparkle with a glitter pen and a few highlights with a white gel pen.

I hope this helps you... and I'd love to hear from you if you have questions.

Thanks for visiting!

Thanksgiving Card

If you have never sent a Thanksgiving card, these might be just
the stamps to get you to do so!  They are totally adorable.  I used
alcohol markers to color them and a really simple design for my
card.  The photo corners are a sizzix die that cuts and embosses at
the same time, and I cut the sentiment out with a Stampin' Up
punch.  Also used an oval nestability on this one.  You can find
these stamps HERE and you still have plenty of time to make your
cards in time for Thanksgiving.

Thanks

Hello!  It's Lisa with another Wednesday post.  I hope your week is going well!

Thanks

I thought I'd put together a thank you card for a special teacher.  This little girl looks like a sweet little student, doesn't she?  I paired the "The End Chalkboard" image with Report Card patterned paper by October Afternoon.  It's a great pair!  The image, colored with Copic markers, was carefully trimmed and popped on the card with dimensional tape.

Have a great rest of your week... and thanks for visiting!

Thinking of You

I love the popular pink and brown color combo.  It isn't anything I would ever have put together myself, but it looks GREAT.  It worked well on this card with this so adorable Patti's Kids image.  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her in with Tria Markers.  I used Chalk Ah Lot's  "Cotton Candy" to blush her cheeks--so much more natural than using a marker.
Have a crafty Sunday!
