Hello! It's Lisa with another Wednesday post! It's hard to believe we're looking at the end of year holidays. Where HAS this year gone?
I have a project to share with you, but I thought I'd also outline a few pointers around the fun Puparazzo images that are unmounted with the phrases. I used
Puparazzo "I'm Under Your Spell" (F-PP89).
1. I coat the back of the rubber with Aleene's Tack It Over and Over glue (using an old brush) and allow to dry thoroughly. Trim carefully around the image in straight cuts. My favorite scissors for this process is the Tim Holtz non-stick scissors.
I'm not sure you can see this in the picture below, but I use clear card sheets to store my trimmed and glued rubber. It peels cleanly from the surface in order to place on an acrylic block when you're ready to stamp.
2. Cut the sentiment phrase off the bottom... before you have a stroke, it's OK. Cut the sentiment off with very precise cuts, not removing any of the excess rubber. You'll want to make it like a puzzle piece, so you can add it back precisely where it needs to be. This will give you a very versatile stamp!
3. To get a good impression, I place my cardstock on a piece of foam. Ink the image and gently press onto the cardstock.
So, after all that chatting, are you ready for my card?
Under Your Spell
I colored this fun little pup with Copic markers. I added a bit of sparkle with a glitter pen and a few highlights with a white gel pen.
I hope this helps you... and I'd love to hear from you if you have questions.
Thanks for visiting!
